1. How do they work?
FM transmitters send messages, music, advertising etc. using the FM band
frequency 87.9 MHz to 107.9 MHz via any sound system, and, transmit anything
being spoken or played through a microphone, tape deck, CD player, message
machine etc.
2. What do I need to receive the sound?
Any FM receiver such as a walkman, car radio, stereo, boom box
3. What FM station do I use?
Any FM station that is clear or open in the area
4. How far will my message go?
Depending on the model you choose, the location, and any other buildings in
the area, the distance could be anywhere from 100 feet to 6 miles
5. Is a license required?
The model and use of the transmitter will determine this. See Regulations.
Some models and some uses are exempt from licensing.
